Welder

Position Summary

  • Diversified Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Welder to weld various metals and perform associated tasks

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use of Mig, Tig, Pulse, and Flux Core applications
  • Weld to ASME or AWS codes
  • Weld various metals by selecting the correct equipment and proper process
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Understand inspection technique to perform first article and random inspections to required specifications

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • 3 years experience in Mig, Tig, Pulse, and Flux Core applications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical documents, drawings, and specifications
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Controller

Position Summary

  • The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting, costing, and financial reporting activities for the manufacturing operation
  • This role ensures accurate financial records, strong internal controls, compliant reporting, and actionable financial insights that support operational efficiency, cost management, and strategic decision‑making
  • The Controller partners closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to drive profitability and continuous improvement
  • This position will have the potential to grow into the CFO role
  • This is an in person, on site role in the corporate office in Lockport, NY
  • ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & AccountingOversee general ledger, month‑end close, and financial statement preparationPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirementsManage external audits, tax filings, and statutory reportingManufacturing Cost AccountingLead standard cost development and maintenance (BOMs, routings, labor, overhead)Analyze variances (material, labor, overhead, PPV, usage, absorption)Oversee inventory accounting, including WIP, raw materials, and finished goodsEnsure accurate inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventoriesBudgeting & ForecastingDevelop annual budgets and rolling forecastsPartner with operations to align production plans with financial targetsTrack performance against budget and explain variances with actionable insightsInternal Controls & ComplianceDesign, implement, and maintain strong internal controlsEnsure segregation of duties and adherence to company policiesOperational & Strategic SupportAct as a financial business partner to plant and operations leadershipProvide profitability analysis by product, customer, and processSupport capital expenditure analysis and ROI evaluationsDrive cost reduction initiatives and process improvementsTeam LeadershipLead, develop, and mentor accounting and finance staffEstablish best practices, procedures, and continuous improvement initiativesOther duties as necessary or assigned
  • Qualifications5+ years of experience in accounting, required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSuperior data entry and data management skillsAbility to work well with external vendors and customers and internal departments Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyStrong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating between project teams and stakeholders
